Further club databases
Sports clubs
The Chemnitz City Sports Association has published all sports clubs that are members of the SSBC in a database:
Cultural organisations
The Cultural Education Database lists cultural associations and providers of extracurricular educational programmes:
Allotment gardens
There are around 17,500 allotment gardens in the city of Chemnitz, most of which are organised via allotment garden associations in the two umbrella organisations.
Volunteering
Civic engagement often takes place behind the scenes and is rarely recognised by the public. Volunteers form the backbone of our society. They donate time and energy to support and help others. Without them, many would be restricted and perhaps even unable to act. They enrich the lives of fellow human beings, most of whom are complete strangers.
moreVoluntary services
Whether a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), a Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ), a Federal Voluntary Service or a Voluntary Service for all Generations - in addition to volunteering, the programmes are a good opportunity to gain work experience and gain professional qualifications.
