Klub Solitaer e. V. was founded in 2010 and has launched numerous cultural projects since then.
The association runs all cultural activities in the HINTEN gallery, the Lokomov cultural centre and the Fenster für Fotografie exhibition space. It is also involved in the organisation and project implementation of the Off-Bühne für darstellende Künste Komplex . The club has also launched the DIALOGFELDER project, which uses artistic interventions in public and semi-public spaces to contribute to positive cultural development in the Sonnenberg district. Every year, Klub Solitaer e. V. organises a two-week series of events on a socio-political topic relevant to the city of Chemnitz. In addition, Klub Solitaer e. V. provides premises for the production of contemporary art and culture in the southern Sonnenberg neighbourhood with the project and studio houses A102 and J42.
