Children's and family centres
Chemnitz family centres (KiFaZ) offer an extensive free weekly programme with open meetings, parent-child courses, talks, family camps and advice services.
Mums and dads can meet here and discuss their everyday family life and the development and upbringing of their children with other parents and competent contacts in a pleasant atmosphere.
The work and services of the children and family centres are intended to support parents, especially those from the respective social area. They are orientated towards the different individual needs of the parents, which are easily accessible in terms of time and space.

The educational work at the ‘Bunte Gärten’ KiFaZ is based on the Early Excellence approach. Early Excellence represents, on the one hand, the development of childcare centres into children’s and family centres and, on the other hand, provides practical answers to questions regarding early childhood education.
The ‘open doors’ concept, combined with core groups, creates the ideal conditions for children to pursue their interests and meet their needs.
Through targeted observation and documentation, we are able to identify the children’s strengths, support them individually, and activate and stimulate their learning processes.
At this centre, childcare is available from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm.

A place for children and their families to meet and learn. Children can learn together through play in fixed core groups.
Children can be looked after from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The family centre, with its own dedicated rooms for family education, offers families parent-child courses, parenting advice and specialist talks on various topics. Parents can relax and chat about all aspects of everyday family life.
The whole family can get involved in shaping the KiFaZ.

The Children’s and Family Centre offers childcare in Building I for younger children and in Building II for older children from 6.00 am to 5.00 pm. The daily programme at the Children’s and Family Centre is tailored to the children’s needs. They help to plan and organise their day.
Our centre offers family education and counselling services for families whose children do not yet attend a childcare centre. We place great importance on linking family education programmes within the centre and across the Hilbersdorf/Ebersdorf community.
