SSV Chemnitz e.V. was founded in December 1996. The aim and content of the association is to realise a high-quality, attractive range of sports and leisure activities that promote health, performance, personality and togetherness within the solidarity community of its members. The club offers children, young people and adults the opportunity to take part in regular weekly sporting activities under the guidance and supervision of a coach or trainer.
It pays particular attention to children's and youth sports. The majority of sports groups are involved in popular and recreational sports. However, the club also promotes performance by offering the opportunity to train several times a week, develop talent and take part in matches and competitions in the individual sports.
