The association is dedicated to the maintenance, promotion, dissemination and further development of Modern American Square Dance in various dance programmes and related dance styles (e.g. Round Dance), as well as the promotion of national and international relationships and friendships and the dissemination of the idea of international square dancing and related dance styles
