The non-profit Chemnitz History Society promotes the research and popularisation of the city's history.
Anyone who feels connected to these goals is welcome to join.

- Regular lectures and excursions as well as the annual summer festival
- Several working groups and projects (e.g. on the neighbourhoods, history factory)
