Short description:
The association has between 80 and 100 members. In 2005, it erected a bell tower in which the former school bell rings every day. For many years, it campaigned for the preservation of the outdoor swimming pool; it currently sponsors a small municipal playground on the site. The association looks after local history. It contributes to the quality of life in Chemnitz’s smallest district, for example by providing benches and a large ‘Schwibbogen’ (a traditional Christmas arch). Plans are in place for a public bookcase next to a bakery. Local festivals are organised in collaboration with the volunteer fire brigade and the Textima sports club. The Süd-Ost Citizens’ Platform receives support in organising events along the Höhenweg 2025 Adelsberg-Harthau trail.
