Offices open again for visitors

Personal appointments possible by telephone from 6 May

The current availability of all city administration offices will be extended. Previously, personal appointments were only made in cases that could not be postponed. All other questions were dealt with by telephone or electronically. From Wednesday 6 May, the offices that receive a lot of visitors will also be open for face-to-face appointments.

This applies, for example, to the customer portal on the ground floor of the Moritzhof, the Social Welfare Office, the Youth Welfare Office and the Cash and Tax Office, as well as the Citizens' Office in the Bürgerhaus am Wall.

To ensure protection against infection, it is essential to make an appointment by telephone. This also avoids waiting times. It is now possible to make appointments with the offices. The telephone numbers can be found here or by calling the service number 115.

All rooms for meetings with citizens are equipped with the necessary measures, such as protective screens. The rooms are cleaned daily. Hand sanitiser is available. Appropriate markings and controls are used to ensure minimum distances. We also appeal to every citizen's sense of responsibility. The municipal authorities may only be entered with mouth and nose coverings.

The city offices can still be contacted by telephone and e-mail. Applications, including for financial benefits, can be posted in the letterboxes in all administrative buildings and will be processed. Applications and other forms for applying for social benefits can be downloaded from the Internet. There are special arrangements for emergencies, for example cash payments or topping up cash cards, after consultation by telephone.
