Group information before elections - right of objection

Information from the registration office in the city's Citizens' Registration Office - form for requesting an objection also online at www.chemnitz.de

In accordance with Section 33 (1) of the Saxon Registration Act of 21 April 1993 in the version published on 11 April 1997 (SächsGVBl. p. 377), the registration authority may, upon request, provide parties, groups of voters and other supporters of election proposals in connection with elections to parliamentary and municipal representative bodies with group information on data of eligible voters from the registration register in the six months preceding the election, the composition of which is determined by the age of the persons concerned. The following may be disclosed Surnames, first names with identification of the surname, doctor's degree and addresses.

Informationwill not be provided if the person concerned is registered for a prison, hospital, nursing home or similar institution within the meaning of Section 20 (1) of the Saxon Registration Act or if the person concerned has objected to the provision of information. Previous objections to the provision of information prior to elections are still valid if they were not linked to a specific election.

The form for requesting an objection to the publication of data is available from the Chemnitz registration office, the city's citizen service centres and on the Internet at www.chemnitz.de > Forms > Letter D (data protection).
Objections to the transfer of a data subject's data must be addressed to the City of Chemnitz, Citizens' Office, Registration Office, 09106 Chemnitz (headquarters: Düsseldorfer Platz 1) or submitted to any citizen service centre of the City of Chemnitz.

Office hours of the registration office (location: Bürgerhaus am Wall, Düsseldorfer Platz 1):
Monday and Friday 8:30 am to 12 noon, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm.
