30 years of German unity: Call for photos for "Then and now picture gallery"
chemnitz.de documents the history of reunification with photos and draws a comparison with today
30 years of German reunification - 30 years of change. Society, politics, the environment, culture and sport have undergone many changes during this time. But a lot has also changed personally for the people of Chemnitz between 1990 and 2020. This change is to be documented in photos on the city's website. The city's press office is therefore calling on Chemnitz residents to browse through their private photo archives and recreate these photos:

We want to show this change in pictures together with you: Show us how your life situation, your environment or you yourself have changed. And this is how we imagine it: Select a photo from your private photo archive and recreate it now, 30 years later.
You are free to choose the subject: whether you are gardening or shopping, visiting the town hall, at work, on holiday or doing sport - the garden or park in front of your house, your street or the square around the corner - we are interested in your perspective on 1990 and 2020. What is different? What has stayed the same? Please tell us about your memories, stories or thoughts on the change in a few sentences.
We will publish the best submissions as a picture gallery at chemnitz.de/30jahre. Further information can also be found under this link.
