VHS@home: Pilates and yoga courses also online from January
The adult education centre will be offering Pilates and yoga courses online from January 2021. Registration is now possible at www.vhs-chemnitz.de From Thursday, 7 January 2021, two yoga courses and a Pilates course will start, which will take place in the virtual course room: Pilates, Hatha Yoga for All, Hatha Yoga - Gentle Start to the Morning. Course fee: 28.80 euros or 29.40 euros for all units.
The courses will be held online on the adult education centre's own platform vhs.cloud. The yoga and Pilates movement sequences are explained and demonstrated in detail by the instructors via a live video stream. Participants can follow and copy the exercises on their screen at home. Questions can also be put to the instructors via chat.
In six 45-minute sessions, the experienced instructors explain the basic principles and demonstrate the basic exercises of Hatha Yoga and Pilates. The gentle sequences of movements help to strengthen the muscles throughout the body, promote concentration in the long term and thus improve daily quality of life.
In addition to a computer, laptop or tablet and a stable internet connection, access to vhs.cloud is required. The adult education centre staff will help you to register and use vhs.cloud in advance of the respective course. The adult education centre also recommends comfortable sportswear, a mat and a drink during the course.
