Sustainable, safe, enjoyable: what meets modern "taste"?
Adult education centre: Online lecture on 10 May, 7.30 to 9 p.m.
On Tuesday, 10 May, from 7.30 to 9 p.m., the adult education centre invites interested parties to an online lecture by food chemist Andrea Büttner. In this lecture, she will explore the changes in modern flavours and their consequences for our diet.

Not only in view of the broad upheavals in agriculture and the development of new types of food, many observers are asking critically where food and raw materials come from and under what conditions they are produced and manufactured. The lecture addresses this: What goes down well with consumers, what do they like, and how much indulgence is allowed or required? Where is our taste heading?
The speaker is Managing Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV and heads the Chair of Flavour and Odour Research at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. The event is being organised in cooperation with the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech).
The online event is part of the series "vhs.wissen live - the digital science programme" in cooperation with the adult education centres in Chemnitz, Esslingen district and south-east Munich district.
