Surface course paving on Dresdner Straße between Hohlweg and Weißer Weg begins on Friday evening (12 October), 8 p.m.

Road users please note half-sided lane closure with traffic light control

For the realisation of the construction project of the civil engineering office on Dresdner Straße in the section between the upper access to the hospital and Weißer Weg, a half-sided lane closure with traffic light control will be necessary in sections due to the associated work for the surface course installation (see also the current construction site information of the city of Chemnitz). The preparatory work for paving the surface course has been underway since 24 September. Subject to weather conditions, it is planned to lay the surface course over three consecutive weekends.

Around 210,000 euros will be invested in the overall construction project. The company ATS Chemnitz GmbH was commissioned to carry out the work (PM 561 dated 21/09/2012 - www.chemnitz.de).

Note from the traffic authority: In order to minimise the temporary disruption to road users associated with the construction work, the period for laying the surface course has been deliberately scheduled for the weekend.
The first layer will be laid from Friday 12 October at 8 pm until Monday 15 October at 4 am.

Traffic will be regulated by traffic lights in the urban and rural directions. Road users are asked to understand that increased traffic volumes must be expected due to the long section of traffic lights. Pedestrian traffic is not restricted.

Local public transport will be adapted accordingly and routed via Wilhelm-Weber-Straße with a temporary stop along the route. Please pay attention to the separate information provided by CVAG at the relevant stops - information is available online at www.cvag.de.
