Mayor Knut Kunze comments on the decision of the Saxon Higher Administrative Court regarding the non-authorisation of the use of premises for Martin Sellner's performance:
"We welcome the judgement of the Saxon Higher Administrative Court in Bautzen regarding Martin Sellner's planned appearance at Chemnitz Town Hall. In particular, the OVG's reference to the usage regulations and the terms of use for municipal premises should be mentioned here, as the topic of the event is not related to the jurisdiction of Chemnitz City Council.
Furthermore, the City of Chemnitz is therefore authorised to terminate a contract of use if it becomes aware that the content of the planned event is inhuman, racist or extremist in whole or in part.
The legal opinion of the City of Chemnitz has thus been fully confirmed in the second instance."
