Social welfare office committed to providing information in plain language
New offer: Barrier-free communication - launch with leaflet on the City of Chemnitz Advisory Council for the Elderly and Disabled - information also available at www.chemnitz.de
The basis for the new service, which in future will contain publications on as many areas of the city that are important to citizens as possible, is the demand formulated in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities that all people have the right to participate in social life on an equal basis with others. This also includes barrier-free communication and public relations work, according to the social welfare office.
The leaflet, which was published in a print run of 500 copies in the city administration's in-house print shop, is available free of charge directly from the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office, located at the Technical Town Hall, Annaberger Straße 93, 09120 Chemnitz, in the Town Hall and in the Moritzhof Citizens' and Administration Centre, Bahnhofstraße 53, 09111 Chemnitz, in each case at the information counter.
