Shorter construction period for roadworks at the intersection of Zwickauer Straße / Guerickestraße / Jaenickestraße - closure can be lifted again on Friday evening (12 July)
Good news from the Civil Engineering Department regarding the implementation of the road construction measures at the Zwickauer Straße/ Guerickestraße / Jaenickestraße junction (PM 435 from 05.07.2013 ), which will start today (Wednesday 10 July): Road users and, in particular, residents affected by the necessary traffic restrictions on site will be pleased that the construction period of the measure, which was originally planned up to and including Sunday (14 July), can be significantly shortened. This means that the necessary closure in the area of the roadworks can be lifted as early as Friday evening (12 July).
The construction company commissioned with the construction work, HSE Bau GmbH, informed the Civil Engineering Office today at the start of construction that the construction experts had found a way to change the construction schedule at short notice. As a result, the construction work will be completed on Friday evening and the traffic restrictions imposed by the city's traffic authority on Guerickestraße and Jaenickestraße can also be lifted early on Friday evening.
Note for road users: The access road from Zwickauer Straße to Guerickestraße, which was still possible today (Wednesday 10 July), will be fully closed from 8 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) due to the changes in the construction process. A diversion has already been signposted. For information on the construction work and traffic restrictions, see PM 435 from 05.07.2013 - www.chemnitz.de
