Seven-day incidence still above 10

Stricter regulations come into force from Wednesday

Today, the seven-day incidence of 10 was exceeded in Chemnitz on five consecutive days. In accordance with the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance, this will therefore come into force from Wednesday, 18 August:

Contact restrictions:

  • Meetings of a maximum of 10 people (regardless of the number of households) are permitted
  • Family, club and company celebrations are permitted with up to 50 people

Fully vaccinated or recovered persons are not taken into account when determining the number of people.

Masks are compulsory:

  • Obligation to wear a mouth-nose cover in outdoor areas if the minimum distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained, as well as in all indoor areas
  • Medical mouth and nose protection in all shops and markets
  • in motor vehicles when occupied by people from different households, with the exception of the driver

schools/day care centres:

  • Testing is mandatory twice a week for pupils (including holiday daycare centres) and staff and other persons with access (except for drop-off and pick-up)

Municipal offices and facilities:

  • There is an obligation to wear a medical mouth and nose cover
  • Contact tracing for visitors:


Gastronomy:

  • Contact data collection in the indoor area

Accommodation:

  • with contact registration on arrival (except camping and caravanning sites and holiday flats)

Cultural and leisure facilities and events for less than 1000 people:

  • Visits with contact tracing (except drive-in cinemas, botanical and zoological gardens and media loans in libraries)
  • Mandatory testing at sporting events with an audience (under 1000 people) if the minimum distance is to be maintained
  • City, guest and nature tours indoors with a maximum of 30 people, outdoors with a maximum of 50 people

Swimming pools and saunas:

  • Contact data collection
  • Visits to steam baths and steam saunas with daily test

Please note:

According to §9 of the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance of 26.07.2021, testing obligations do not apply to fully vaccinated and recovered persons.
