Monday, 4 March
Press conference with the Mayor and Mayoresses before the City Council meeting (PM 85 of 28 February 2013).

Tuesday, 5 March
Chemnitz Peace Day 2013: Mayor Barbara Ludwig welcomes the participants of the event to commemorate the victims of the destruction of Chemnitz in the Second World War. The speech will be given by Jason Weißbach, pupil of the Goethe-Gymnasium Chemnitz and member of the Saxony State Pupils' Council.
Time and place: 9 a.m., municipal cemetery.
Numerous events, such as the activities at the Peace Cross memorial and action area at Neumarkt near the town hall, will take place in Chemnitz to mark Peace Day. Chemnitz Peace Day 2013: Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the event on the Neumarkt by the town hall. The Rector of Chemnitz University of Technology, Arnold van Zyl, will give the keynote speech.
Time and place: 6 pm, Neumarkt am Rathaus Chemnitz.
Information for the media: When planning your schedule, please note that the weekly press conference of the Lord Mayor will not take place on 5 March. Due to the events, the Lord Mayor's monthly citizens' consultation will be postponed by one week to Tuesday, 12 March at 5 pm (PM 86 from 28.02.2013).

Friday, 8 March
Mayor Petra Wesseler delivers the greeting from the City of Chemnitz at the event to mark International Women's Day 2013 in Chemnitz (PM 87 from 28.02. 2013).
Time and place: 17:30, Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre.
Saturday, 9 March
Chemnitz is the host city for the meeting of the Federal Association of German Museums of Fine Arts on the occasion of its tenth anniversary. The participants' programme includes a guided tour of Chemnitz City Hall with a visit to the two large murals "Abwägung" by Neo Rauch in the council chamber and "Arbeit. Beauty, Prosperity" by Max Klinger in the city council chamber.
