The city's urban planning office invites you to a citizens' dialogue with an exploratory walk on the urban development framework plan "Chemnitz-Altendorf station area" (PM 634 from 30.10.2014).

The Turn- und Sportverein 1861 Chemnitz-Altendorf e. V. is hosting the 3rd Bundesliga women's competition, which is also a qualifying competition for the final on 22 November in Karlsruhe. Information: www.tus-chemnitz.de

The 13th Werkkunstmarkt, a sales exhibition for handicrafts and design, is being held at the Klaffenbach moated castle this weekend. There will be 43 artisans and designers taking part.

Premiere of the world premiere of "The Mermaid's Shoes", object theatre by Katy Deville and Christian Carrignon for children aged six and over, freely adapted from Hans Christian Andersen. The authors are also responsible for the direction and set design. Information: www.theater-chemnitz.de

Premiere of the world premiere of the ballet "The Snow Queen" by Reiner Feistel, who is also responsible for the choreography and staging. The piece is based on the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen and the play by Yevgeny Schwarz and features music by Franz Schubert, Alfred Desenclos and Gorán Bregovič.
