The regional competition "Jugend forscht" will be held in Chemnitz.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig will give a welcoming address at the opening of the 26th Days of Jewish Culture. She is the patron of this event, which opens today with the exhibition "Leben ist Glühn" by the German expressionist Fritz Ascher.
Time and place: 7.30 pm, Museum Gunzenhauser, Stollberger Straße 2

More than 60 events from over 20 organisers - a mixture of exhibitions, theatre, films, lectures, guided tours and more - will be taking place until 19 March.

The Chemnitz CRASHERS will play Preussen Berlin 1b in the Regionalliga Ost ice hockey competition.

Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig invites you to an event to commemorate the victims of the destruction of Chemnitz in the Second World War on the occasion of Peace Day.
Time and place: 10 a.m., municipal cemetery at the memorial for the bomb victims

Mayor Barbara Ludwig will take part in the Peace Day rally under the motto "Back then - my country before the war". Other participants include Hartwig Albiro, Omar Dello, Ricky Goldammer, Jan Heinke, Svetlana Katchour, Baraa Khalil, Andreas Kindschuh, Karl-Heinz Kleve, Manh-Hung Nguyen, Tukayana Paolo-König, Mathis Stendike and others.
Time and place: 6 pm, Neumarkt

With the Peace Day on 5 March, Chemnitz is once again setting an example for democracy, tolerance, peaceful coexistence and cosmopolitanism, against hatred and neo-fascism on the 72nd anniversary of the end of the Second World War. A broad alliance from politics, culture, business, science and sport has prepared a diverse programme for the Chemnitz Peace Day.
