After the erection of the Chemnitz Christmas tree 2012, the decorating of the 30 metre high spruce begins and on Tuesday the new bench around the Christmas tree is set up. Information: www.chemnitz.de
Mayor Barbara Ludwig gives a welcome address at the "90 years of welding technology in Chemnitz" celebrations. The festive event is part of the programme of the 8th Chemnitz Symposium on Joining and Welding Technology. Information: www.tu-chemnitz.de

Chemnitz pupils from Years 3 and 4 are the focus of the third conference Tuesday of the 6th Children and Youth Conference (PM 660 from 01.11.2012).

Thursday, 22 November
Kick-off event to mark the City of Chemnitz's accession to the European Charter for Equality between Women and Men (PM 691 of 14 November 2012).

Saturday, 24 November
Invitation to visit the City of Chemnitz's third education fair: This year, twelve municipal secondary schools and seven municipal grammar schools as well as three independent providers will be presenting themselves at the event (PM 690 from 14 November 2012).
Time and place: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., foyer of Chemnitz University of Technology, Reichenhainer Straße 90.
