Chemnitz museums, collections, galleries and institutions, together with the Cultural Office of the City of Chemnitz, invite you to a night-time stroll through Chemnitz's museum and art landscape at 28 locations on Saturday, 25 May 2013 from 6 pm to 1 am. On this year's discovery tour, visitors can expect an exquisite programme with more than 60 exhibitions and over 100 unique offers for all ages.
This year's "Special Offer" brings together large buses and small trains in a fascinating way. In the CVAG bus depot on Werner-Seelenbinder-Straße, the 10th international model tram exhibition "Kleine Bahn Ganz Groß" will be shown on an area of 2,000 m² with around 50 exhibitors from Germany and abroad. Visitors can learn interesting and astonishing facts about the large buses during guided tours of the CVAG bus workshop.
Another attraction will certainly be the "Window into the history of the earth" on Glockenstraße. There, the Museum of Natural History will open a new excavation site of fossilised witnesses to history on Museum Night.
The Chemnitz State Museum of Archaeology - the official opening is planned for spring 2014 - will give interested visitors an initial insight into the future design and work of the museum during guided tours.

Tickets: Museum Night tickets for adults costing 8 euros and youth tickets for 3 euros (also valid for concessions) are available in advance from Monday, 6 May at the Tourist Information Office on the market square, at the CVAG Mobility Centre at the central bus stop and at the museums during their respective opening hours, as well as at the box offices of the museums and institutions on Museum Night.
Admission is free for children up to the age of 14.
