Pre-Christmas concert at the December music café
Music school director Nancy Gibson's guests this time will be the members of the DA-CAPO ensemble, led by Roswitha Oelsner, which gave its first successful performance at the music café in April last year. The now six musical ladies - Ingrid Nickut, Gisela Wolf, Heike Gagelmann, Roswitha Oelsner, Uta Schwörke and Claudia Eisenreich - have already delighted many music lovers with their performances. For example, the ensemble has performed at various events organised by the Chemnitz Municipal Music School and has appeared in front of audiences in retirement homes, at birthday parties and at festive events organised by clubs. The ensemble's repertoire is varied, including classical music, waltzes and marches as well as folk songs. The members of the ensemble play the piano, violin and cello.
At the concert on 6 December, the DA-CAPO ensemble will present a programme of well-known Christmas carols, accompanied by opera and concert singer Cornelia Strelow-Albert. Incidentally, guests will also be invited to sing along to the Christmas carols.
The organisers of the music café are once again looking forward to welcoming many visitors to the afternoon concert with coffee and cake. Admission is €5 per person including coffee and cake.
