Autumn and Harvest Week on the Neumarkt at the town hall: From Friday, 5 September to Saturday, 13 September (except Sunday, 7 September) , the town is holding an Autumn and Harvest Week on the Neumarkt at the town hall, open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. The market area will be decorated in rich, bright colours with farm harvesting equipment and a large harvest crown. There are over 30 stalls selling autumnal products such as freshly harvested produce, bulb braids, flower bulbs, furs, garden ceramics, wooden products and knitwear. A wide range of food and drink on offer invites you to linger. Street artists will entertain visitors to the market in their own way.
The youngest market visitors can take a spin on two children's carousels and the Püschmann family from Thalheim will provide the cultural entertainment with a variety of surprises for girls and boys.
Fair around the town hall: On Monday, 8 September from 9 am to 5 pm, the monthly fair will take place around Chemnitz town hall. As usual, the traders will have an extensive and varied range of goods on offer, and there will also be plenty of food and drink on offer.
Weekly market makes way for the Days of Industrial Culture: For the Days of Industrial Culture in Chemnitz from 12 to 14 September, the weekly market makes way for its regular location at the town hall and takes place "next door" at the Red Tower from 11 to 13 September - open from Thursday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm.
Flea market at Chemnitz Town Hall: On Sunday, 21 September from 9 am to 3 pm, the flea market will take place on the market at Chemnitz Town Hall. A wide range of old and second-hand goods will once again be on offer. There will be a wide range of food and drink on offer to refresh junk dealers and visitors.
Pre-registration for junk dealers is not necessary. If you want to take part, simply turn up at the town hall on Sunday morning at 7 am. The market master will collect the stall fee on site. A square metre costs 2.60 euros plus VAT.
