Market information: Autumn and harvest week at the Neumarkt
The autumn and harvest week on the Neumarkt by the town hall will run from Tuesday, 3 to Wednesday, 11 September (except Sunday, 8 September). The Extra Market will be open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. The market area will be decorated in bright colours and decorated with farm harvest tools and a large harvest crown. Around 30 stalls offer all kinds of autumnal products such as freshly harvested goods, bulb braids and flower bulbs, furs, garden ceramics and wooden products for "home and farm" as well as warming knitwear. A large selection of food and drinks invite you to enjoy and linger.
Girls and boys can take a whirl on two children's carousels and marvel at the alpacas next door, which are rarely seen in Germany but are present at the autumn and harvest market in Chemnitz. The members of the Püschmann family from Thalheim, who have also prepared a number of surprises for the youngest market visitors, ensure a good atmosphere in the autumnal market bustle.

Weekly market makes way for the city festival and takes place in the Rosenhof
The weekly market held at the market at the town hall is making way for the 19th Chemnitz City Festival, which will be held in Chemnitz city centre from 30 August to 1 September 2013, and will take place " next door" at the Rosenhof from Tuesday, 27 August to Friday, 30 August - open from Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
From Tuesday3 September , the weekly market will once again take place on the market square.
