Overview of the 2013 general budget - Suggested topics for the next public participation programme
Anyone who would like to take a look at the 2013 budget can now find out more on the City of Chemnitz's participatory budgeting website. Information on the operating budget and investments is presented. Which priorities can be seen in the budget? In which areas does the city raise and spend money? What is behind the figures in the budget planning? Where are investments made? All these questions should be answered.
Further documents are available on the platform, such as the 2012 grant report on grants to clubs, associations and third parties or the brochure "Der Haushaltsplan der Stadt Chemnitz - ein Leitfaden" (The budget of the City of Chemnitz - a guide) as an aid to understanding the budget.
Suggestions wanted
This year, the steering group for the participatory budget has agreed to involve citizens in the discussion on the selection of the topic for the public participation in autumn 2013. From 17 April to 17 May, Chemnitz residents can submit their opinions on the steering group's proposed topics and other ideas from the public at buergerhaushalt.chemnitz.de. These opinions and ideas will later form the basis for the steering group's discussion and decision.
