Festive event "10 years of the Johanneum Academy" on 17 October, 5 p.m.
On Thursday 17 October at 5 p.m., participants, project partners, former participants and interested parties are invited to a celebratory event to mark the 10th anniversary of the "Johanneum Academy" project at the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts, Limbacher Straße 195, 09116 Chemnitz.
Simone Kalew, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Johanneum Children and Youth Foundation, and Hans-Rudolf Merkel, Chairman of the Board of Directors, cordially invite you to attend under the motto "... because children are our future - for whom we already bear responsibility today".
Ten Johanneum Academy modules have now been created, in which over 250 girls and boys have been able to participate during the annual project weeks. They reflect the innovative and far-sighted thinking of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board of the Children and Youth Foundation, which was established in 2009 as the first legally independent municipal foundation in Chemnitz. Over the years, the Johanneum Academy has established itself as a successful brand in its own right.
The diverse content of the modules, for example on topics such as science and technology, nature and the environment, medicine and health, art, etc., have been and continue to be success factors for the successful and successful introduction of adolescents to various educational programmes. Children who are not always on the sunny side of life can try things out, develop social skills and thus increase their self-esteem. They are supported by the educational work of the staff at the Chemnitz children's, youth and family centre.
All guests will have the opportunity to celebrate the success of their dedicated work over the past ten years, to learn about and share what has been achieved, to cultivate partnerships and friendships, to refresh contacts and revive fond memories.
The girls and boys are particularly pleased that they will be able to surprise the guests at the anniversary celebrations with a buffet, which they will be responsible for from A to Z themselves.
