On Monday, 12 December at 4.30 pm, the City of Chemnitz's Disability Officer, Petra Liebetrau, invites interested parties to a special event in the atrium of Kraftverkehrs Chemnitz: The guest is Janis McDavid, speaker, author and world explorer. Born without arms and legs, Janis McDavid reveals with very personal insights why courage, curiosity and a little bit of craziness are more important for the realisation of dreams than external factors.

Admission is free. Registration is requested at: Registration for the event

Representatives of the media are also invited.

Janis McDavid has conquered the summit of Kilimanjaro as a backpacker - in the truest sense of the word - with friends and in impressive style. This is exactly his thing: making the impossible possible, being the director of his life, setting goals and actively pursuing them.

As a speaker, he sparks off sparks by the dozen, where ingrained ways of thinking have mapped out life's paths. The life-moving question he explores with people from all over the world is: How do we live our best life?
