On Saturday, 11 May, from 10 to 11.30 a.m., interested parties are invited to an introduction to community-supported agriculture with a tour of the farm "Zur bunten Kuh" in Frankenberg, Lichtenwalder Straße 1. Participation is free of charge. Clothing suitable for the weather and meadows and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Are you looking for healthy vegetables that grow just round the corner and are grown seasonally? Do you want to know where your food comes from? The farm "Zur bunten Kuh" in Frankenberg runs a community-supported agriculture scheme based on Demeter criteria.
Dr Ina Hoyer, operator of the farm "Zur bunten Kuh", gives an insight into everyday life on the farm: heavy technology, chemical fertilisers or pesticides are excluded. The work is mainly done manually or with simple technology. The vegetables are shared with harvesters. Decisions on what to grow are made collectively. This is also what solidarity is all about - small-scale farming that cares about the fertility of the soil, cultivates tried and tested old vegetable varieties and keeps the animals in a species-appropriate manner.
This measure is co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon state parliament.
