Information from the Citizens' Office: Objections to the publication of retirement and marriage anniversaries can be lodged at any time
The Citizens' Registration Office of the City of Chemnitz has published a public notice in the official gazette of the City of Chemnitz and online at www.chemnitz.de informing citizens of their right to object to the publication of data on old-age and marriage anniversaries. The reason for the publication is that the city's registration office is authorised under Section 33(2) of the Saxon Registration Act to publish data on old-age and marriage anniversaries (names, doctor's degree, addresses and the date and type of anniversary) and to transmit this data to the press, radio and other media for the purpose of publication. Old-age anniversaries are residents celebrating their 70th or later birthday. Marriage anniversaries are residents who celebrate their golden wedding anniversary or a later marriage anniversary.
The data will not be published if the person concerned objects to the publication or transmission of their data. Objections already submitted in previous years remain valid and do not have to be repeated.

Objections to the transfer of a data subject's data should be addressed to the
City of Chemnitz, Citizens' Office, Registration Office, 09106 Chemnitz (Headquarters: Düsseldorfer Platz 1)
and can also be submitted to any citizen service centre of the City of Chemnitz.

Monday and Friday 8:30 am to 12 noon, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm.
