Growth award for companies in the Chemnitz region
Regionalkonvent is looking for successful products, services and personalities from Chemnitz and the neighbouring districts.
All small and medium-sized, owner-managed companies based in Chemnitz, the district of Central Saxony, Vogtlandkreis, Erzgebirgskreis or the district of Zwickau can now once again apply for the Growth Award. The Growth Award, which has been presented by the Regional Convention since 2005, honours innovative business ideas and entrepreneurial success stories.
Three prize winners are chosen from all company applications. The awarding of the Growth Award is embedded in the annual reception of the Initiative Südwestsachsen on 9 September 2013, where the companies can present themselves to the public.
Prerequisite for the application: The owner of the company must hold more than 50 per cent of the shares. Companies with shares held by venture capital companies (VC) are eligible to participate, provided that the VC company does not hold the majority of the company shares. Applicant companies must fulfil the following SME criteria in accordance with the binding EU definition:
- fewer than 250 employees
- Annual turnover < 50 million euros
- Annual balance sheet total < 43 million euros
