A new theatre production for young people aged four and over is created from artistic and playful research. Arne van Dorsten and Anna Lehotská use materials, bodies and dance as well as tripods, colours and shapes to approach very different gestures and feelings, pictorial spaces and plays of colour. Together with the audience, they examine how faces are read, when and how a face is created or what happens when individual elements are removed again without further ado or dance out of line. And along the way, a lively story is created from shapes and arrangements!
The production, directed by Lara Kaiser and designed by Cornelius Reitmayr, will be shown on the puppet theatre stage and also on the road: in the Gunzenhauser Museum, in daycare centres or primary schools.
The mobile version brings the production to daycare centres and other educational institutions, as well as to the Museum Gunzenhauser on selected dates. The performances are aimed at both groups and families and can be combined with a follow-up - a short creative workshop in the museum.

Frank Maibier is known for his subtle handling of materials and structures. He began with works on paper and developed a versatile formal language. Take a short tour of the exhibition and get to know some of his paper and book works. We will then get hands-on and learn the craft of bookbinding. We will create our own small booklets, which will be bound using various bookbinding techniques, such as three-point, bar or pattern clamp binding, and different types of paper. Afterwards, you can design the small unique pieces yourself and even write on them. Perhaps you would also like to make and give a special gift for Valentine's Day.
The necessary materials will be provided. The workshop is suitable for children and beginners.

A dialogue on art and life between Frank Maibier and Harald Kunde

Under the title "frank maibier. tritt tratt", the extensive work of the artist Frank Maibier will be presented in a solo exhibition. The show brings together works from three decades and shows how consistently Maibier explores material, sound and writing, constantly questioning familiar structures anew.
Frank Maibier (*1959) has been working autodidactically with paper and sound since 1985. Starting with paper, he has expanded his artistic practice over the years to include numerous materials. He examines their structures and transfers the central characteristics of paper - fragility, lightness and transparency - to other materials. In this way, solid materials appear to merge optically with paper, while paper itself takes on organic qualities. Maibier's focus is less on perfect forms than on processes: the breaking up of structures, the shifting of material boundaries and constant transformation. Recurring techniques such as folding, perforating, superimposing and shifting create moments of tipping between stability and instability. This fragility refers to personal experiences as well as to social upheavals after 1990 and forms the basis of an individual aesthetic language.

Carlfriedrich Claus is one of the most important representatives of international visual and phonetic poetry. In the 1950s, he began to examine the aural and visual content of language and writing in his first experimental poems. Writers and artists around the world were pursuing similar questions at this time, and so a network of like-minded people developed in which Carlfriedrich Claus was a highly valued player despite his isolation in the GDR.
