Europe needs dialogue. Dual training in Spain and Germany

On Tuesday, 12 November, from 6 to 7.30 pm, interested parties are invited to an exchange on the dual training system in Spain and Germany at the TIETZ, Moritzstraße 20, Room 4.62. The event will feature German and Spanish voices from the field.

Dual vocational training has been developed and practised so convincingly in Germany that it has now become an export hit beyond the country's borders. Many EU member states are trying to copy it and apply it to their own vocational and training practices.
At the event, Tanja Nause from the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain in Madrid (AHK) will report on her work as a mediator. She will describe the advantages and disadvantages, the positive and negative experiences that the AHK has been able to gather over the years in Spain.
In addition, Christiane Matthes-Uber describes the experience gained by the chambers of industry and commerce, particularly with the introduction of this educational format after the political change in 1989. The focus here is on structural change in the transition countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
In this context, it is emphasised that every trainee in Germany today has the opportunity to gain practical experience abroad for up to six months of their training. Based on this topic, the event aims to make a contribution to European understanding.
The event is a cooperation between the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain, the Saxon State Centre for Political Education and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre. It takes place as part of the Adult Education Centre's country focus on Spain.
