Parking ticket machines in the new parking zone D go into operation on 21 November
On Monday, 21 November, the parking ticket machines of the new parking zone D of level 2 of the parking space concept in the city centre will be put into operation. At the same time, the resident parking permit will come into force for residents of zone D.
The parking ticket machines for parking zone D have been delivered and installed. In the coming days, the corresponding signage will be erected street by street.
The parking zones will be signposted with the traffic signs of the same name. This means that parking in a contiguous area in several streets is only permitted with a parking ticket. The traffic signs are located exclusively at the entrance and exit of the zone. Within the parking zone, no further signs will indicate that a parking ticket must be purchased.
Parking in the zones is subject to a charge in accordance with the parking fee regulations of the City of Chemnitz in all public car parks. Residents with a valid resident parking permit are exempt from the parking fee. Further information can be found at:
