Parking ticket machines in the new parking zone C go into operation on 7 November
On Monday, 7 November, the parking ticket machines in the new parking zone C of level 2 of the parking space concept in the city centre will be put into operation. At the same time, the resident parking permit will come into force for residents of zone C.
The parking ticket machines for parking zone C have been delivered and installed. The corresponding signage is now being installed on a street-by-street basis.
The parking ticket machines in parking zone D are still being installed. The public will be informed as soon as a definite date has been set for commissioning.
The parking zones will be signposted with the traffic sign of the same name. This means that parking in a contiguous area in several streets is only permitted with a parking ticket. The traffic signs are only displayed at the entrance and exit of the zone. Within the parking zone, no further signs will indicate that a parking ticket must be purchased.
Parking in the zones is subject to a charge in accordance with the parking fee regulations of the City of Chemnitz in all public car parks. Residents with a valid resident parking permit are exempt from the parking fee. Chemnitz residents and visitors to the city are asked to pay increased attention to the local parking regulations during the transition phase and to behave in accordance with the signage.
