Christmas peace
In the period from 22 December 2024 to 1 January 2025, the City of Chemnitz will generally refrain from issuing reminders and enforcing outstanding claims. Exceptions are only made if the statute of limitations and thus the final default of the outstanding payment is imminent.
This year, City Treasurer Ralph Burghart has again arranged for measures that are considered inappropriate during the Christmas and New Year period to be omitted.
This means that, as in previous years, there is a so-called Christmas truce.
