Chemnitz Municipal Music School fees rise
New fee regulations come into force on 1 December 2024
At its meeting yesterday, the city council decided to increase the fees charged by the municipal music school. From 1 December, the fee will increase by 1.50 euros per offer per month.
The reason for this is the rising costs due to the permanent employment of music school teachers at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. The fee increase will contribute around 43,000 euros to refinancing.
The annual fee for "elementary music education", for children between the age of 4 months and 8 years, will rise from 234 euros to 252 euros. The annual fee for basic musical education in groups with a maximum of six pupils from pre-school to the end of the 4th school year will increase from 234 euros to 252 euros. The annual fee for instrumental and vocal lessons in the main subject in individual lessons will increase from 840 euros to 858 euros.
The annual fee for combined lessons, consisting of weekly individual lessons of 30 minutes, or pair lessons of 45 minutes, or group lessons with three pupils of 60 minutes, will increase from 474 euros to 492 euros. The annual fee for dance and group lessons with four or more students will increase from 234 euros to 252 euros. The annual fee for ensemble and supplementary subjects will increase from 120 euros to 138 euros.
The instrument carousel is aimed at pupils in the pre-school year and comprises four times four lessons of 45 minutes each. The fee increases from 140 euros to 149 euros.
