Bernsdorf pool opens

Official handover of the keys on 20 September, 10 a.m. - Pool party for everyone from 1.30 p.m.

The Bernsdorf pool will be officially opened on Friday, 20 September at 10 am. Mayor Michael Stötzer will hand over the symbolic key to Dagmar Ruscheinsky as the responsible sports mayor.

Media representatives are cordially invited to attend.

After the handover of the key, trainees in the pool operations department will inaugurate the 25-metre pool with a swimming relay.

Afterwards, the sports office will be offering two guided tours of the Bernsdorf pool for those interested. Registration for the guided tours is possible via the City of Chemnitz's citizen participation portal (see links). A maximum of 20 people are permitted per tour, as the small technical rooms are also visited.


Bathing festival for all

From 1.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. there will be an extensive supporting programme in and around the pool to mark World Children's Day. Children up to 14 years have free admission.
Small competitions will be held in the leisure hall, with prizes to be won, and the brave can take part in the diving contest. An aqua course in the 25-metre hall completes the programme.

Monday:

6.30 am to 9 pm

Tuesday:

10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
(only 25-metre hall, only endurance swimming 2 hours and shared use with clubs)

Thursday:

10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
(only 25 metre hall, only endurance swimming 2 hours and shared use with clubs)

Friday:

6.30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday:

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday:

10am to 5pm

Public holidays:

10 am to 5 pm


Last admission: 1 hour before closing time

Note: Outside of opening hours, the swimming pool is used by schools and clubs.
