Aldermen wanted

Invitation to a press conference: Tuesday, 30 January, 2 p.m., City Hall, in the counselling room 118

The City of Chemnitz is looking for lay judges, honorary judges and youth lay judges for the term of office from 2019 to 2023. A total of around 940 men and women are being sought to take part in the administration of justice in criminal cases at the local court, regional court and administrative court in Chemnitz as representatives of the people.

At the press conference on Tuesday, 30 January at 2 pm, Mayor Sven Schulze and two lay judges will be available to answer questions about the election of lay judges.

Chemnitz residents who hold German citizenship, have their main place of residence in Chemnitz and are at least 25 years old can apply until 23 March 2018. Application documents, exclusion criteria and further information are now available HERE.
