8th holiday calendar of the city available from Monday
The booklet with tips and vouchers for the summer holidays is also available to take away free of charge at the town hall information desk and at the BVZ Moritzhof
The City of Chemnitz's 2013 holiday calendar will be available from Monday, 24 June: the 8th edition offers a total of over 450 leisure tips for children and young people for the period from 15 July to 23 August. 367 of these events are day programmes and courses, 85 are multi-day trips and camps. There are also a total of 65 vouchers for the offers made possible by committed supporters of the project.
As in previous years, the Office for Youth and Family was in charge of compiling and publishing the holiday calendar. The holiday calendar is available to take away free of charge or can be obtained free of charge from Monday, 24 June at the usual contact points in the city centre: Infothek in the town hall at Markt 1 and Infothek in the Moritzhof civic and administration centre, tourist information and CVAG mobility centre as well as City-Ticket in the TIETZ building.
The holiday calendar will also be published online again at www.chemnitz.de.
For children and young people between the ages of 6 and 16 in Chemnitz, the handy and compact booklet in A-6 format has been a content-rich companion for planning and organising the summer holiday weeks since the holiday calendar premiere in 2006. With a print run of 5,000 copies, the city as publisher of the holiday calendar is once again meeting demand, and the 8th edition of the holiday calendar is also free of charge for children and young people. In the tried and tested form of previous years, the varied offers are once again organised by calendar and according to the start of the event.
The holiday calendar offers children and young people a wide range of fun and exciting activities on a variety of topics: for creative types and water rats as well as inventors, photographers and cooks, sports enthusiasts, adventurers and artists, animal lovers and nature lovers. Anyone in possession of the booklet can once again use the integrated vouchers. Once again this year, it is worth checking the registration deadlines in good time to make sure you can attend your favourite event.
