"Our diversity remains colourful" - Neighbourhood management/civic centre Leipziger Straße invites you

On 15 September, residents, clubs and institutions, tradespeople, schools and interested parties from the Kaßberg and Schloßchemnitz areas will present themselves for the 11th time with many entertaining and informative offers at over 35 stands. This year, activists from the Altendorf district will also be present with stands on site.

"Our diversity remains colourful" Preserving the past - protecting the present - securing the future

is this year's motto, which puts volunteers at the centre of attention. The 11th neighbourhood festival aims to make residents more aware of the cuts in the social space and to highlight the strong cohesion in the urban area, showing that every individual is important and does valuable work locally. This year, the main organisation has once again been taken over by the neighbourhood management "Stadteingang" and the community centre Leipziger Straße 39 under the sponsorship of Neue Arbeit Chemnitz e.V..

From 2 - 7 p.m., the meadow will become a colourful playground. With games of skill for body and mind, pony rides, a bouncy couch from the GGG, games with the Glösa volunteer fire brigade, a tombola, face painting, balloon modelling, Rasta braiding, henna painting, African wood art, jewellery stalls, candle making, lucky draws and a lot more. With a wide range of activities such as candle making, a wheel of fortune, various sports and big games, numerous creative offers, all kinds of culinary delights from the international cuisine and much more, everyone is sure to find their own personal highlight.

The multifaceted poutpourie of international rhythms, traditional dances from Africa, India, East Asia and the Amazon region, live music with the bands "Blue Moon", After Life Music, Quiet Lake, the "Brassband", breakdancers from "Projekt wild" and the "Street Kids" as well as the colourful programmes by children from the "Musikschule Fröhlich" and the "Untere Luisenschule" will turn the stage into a crowd-puller until 9pm.

Cooperation in the district is also expressed on this day in the fact that ChemnitzVital has organised an action day "Vital into the summer" with further offers for festival visitors and the assisted living facility at Kanalstraße 12 is holding an open day, which visitors can also find out more about.
