The working paper is a guide to better protection against violence for children and young people in facilities such as youth clubs and leisure centres and was developed jointly by various independent organisations and the Youth Welfare Office. It brings together professional standards, legal principles and specific implementation aids to create a safe environment and effectively prevent risks. A protection concept is required by law for facilities with an operating licence.
In addition, the public youth welfare organisation is obliged to develop quality in accordance with Section 79a SGB VIII and must ensure that suitable measures are implemented to protect against violence. The Chemnitz Youth Welfare Office supports organisations and facilities in this process.
