Zietenstraße closed due to construction work
Accident on gas pipeline requires complete replacement of the section
From today, it will be necessary to close Zietenstraße due to construction work on the dilapidated gas pipeline in the Zietenstraße/Ausgustusburger area. The extensive work means that traffic can no longer be guaranteed in this area.
From Monday, 3 June, the repair of a gas pipeline (damage) in the area of Zietenstraße/Ausgustusburger Straße was initially approved with a half-sided lane closure and one-way traffic control in the direction of Augustusburger Straße.
After work began, it was determined that the faulty gas pipe in this section had to be completely replaced.
Traffic in the direction of Augustusburger Straße will be diverted via Jakobstraße - Schüffnerstraße - Augustusburger Straße.
In the opposite direction, the diversion will be via Augustusburger Straße - Schüffnerstraße - Sonnenstraße.
The work should be completed by 17 June 2019.
