Youth welfare committee approves grants for eight independent youth welfare organisations
With the committee's approval of the administration's proposal (B-235/2012), it is now possible for the independent organisation KINDERVEREIUNIGUNG Chemnitz e. V. for its "Spielmobil" - a mobile children's and youth work programme - to procure a trailer and thus offer significantly more equipment and materials in future at playgrounds supervised by socio-educational staff. The mobile play centre looks after four playgrounds in Chemnitz every week. Up to 30 children regularly visit these playgrounds and enjoy the materials, games and equipment they bring with them.
The committee also approved funds for the procurement of new computer and office technology, the installation of a second escape route and the installation of a security system as well as the purchase of a container, among other things.
