On Monday 29 September at 6 pm, interested parties are invited to a special choir concert in the concert hall of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstraße 1. The Young Vocal Ensemble Chemnitz under the direction of Antje Schneider and the Mixed Youth Choir Šempeter-Vrtojba from Nova Gorica under the direction of Mojca Maver Podbersič will be performing on stage. Admission is free of charge.
Both youth choirs will sing songs from their respective repertoires, but will also perform together.
The Chemnitz Young Vocal Ensemble is a choir of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, which is primarily dedicated to a cappella music. The young people aged between 13 and 19 perform polyphonic movements from different musical eras and canons.
The Šempeter-Vrtojba Mixed Youth Choir was founded in 2011 and brings together young singers from Šempeter, Vrtojba and the surrounding area. It regularly collaborates with well-known Slovenian and international artists and has already taken part in numerous music projects and festivals. In addition to singing, the young singers like to enrich their performances with dance choreography and creative instrumental accompaniment.
