Würzburg Piano Trio performs at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School

World premiere of the suite for piano trio by Thomas Stöß

On Saturday, 11 June 2016, the Würzburg Piano Trio will perform in the new hall of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School from 6 pm. The concert is being organised by the music school in cooperation with the Mozart-Gesellschaft e. V. Tickets are available in advance from the Freie Presse shop for 12 euros (concessions 8 euros) and at the box office for 14 euros (concessions 10 euros).

In addition to works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms, a special highlight of their concert in the new hall of the Municipal Music School will be the world premiere of Thomas Stöß' Suite for Piano Trio. Inspired by Ettore Scola's film? Le Bal?, the composer from Chemnitz has created a chamber music ballet score.

The sisters Katharina Cording, Karla-Maria Cording and cellist Peer-Christoph Pulc seem to have been cast from the same mould. As the Würzburg Piano Trio, they have developed an enormous repertoire in the fifteen years of their collaboration and also devote themselves to rarely performed and contemporary compositions.
