Wry fairy tales and quirky stories with Paul Maar and Max Goldt to mark the 150th anniversary of Chemnitz City Library
The city library has invited the well-known children's book author Paul Maar ("Das Sams") and the language poet and satirist Max Goldt to celebrate a milestone birthday.
On Friday, 28 June at 8 pm, Max Goldt will present his bizarre observations and bitter satires in the TIETZ event hall.
In the best tradition, Max Goldt will once again expose the absurdities and contradictions of everyday life and ruthlessly focus on the supposed sideshows of life - absurd and hilarious as usual. Admission is 15 euros, concessions 12 euros. Tickets are available in advance at the TIETZ museum box office. Or by telephone on 0371 488 4366.
Just one day later, on Saturday 29 June at 3 pm, the crooked fairy tale trio (Paul Maar - Wolfgang Stute - Konrad Haas) will be performing a children's programme in the TIETZ foyer. Paul Maar has published a new book, "Schiefe Märchen und schräge Geschichten", in which he deals with fairy tales in an ironic and humorous way.
Stories such as that of Herd, who desperately wants to watch the film "Cool Guys on their Hot Stoves" in the cinema, alternate with the story of the "booted skater" or that of the naive Mr Mockinpott, who unfortunately falls for the tricky dwarf Friedrich. Paul Maar performs the quirky fairy tales and wry stories with two well-known musicians: Wolfgang Stute (guitar, percussion) and Konrad Haas (flute, recorder, keyboards). Admission is 10 euros, concessions 5 euros. Admission is free for children up to the age of 14. Tickets are available in advance at the TIETZ museum box office. Or by telephone on 0371 488 4366. Registration is requested for this event.
