World premieres of works by composing students
On 2 September, 4 pm, in the concert hall of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School
"Fastnacht am Bodensee", "Lagerfeuer", "Der Patronus", "Vier Freunde" ... - in the traditional family concert of the Dresden Composers' Class on 2 September at 4 pm in the concert hall of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, new musical stories from the pen of the youngest generation of composers can once again be experienced. Admission: 8 euros, reduced 5 euros.
Under the guidance of Silke Fraikin and Johannes Korndörfer, the 9 to 17-year-old pupils composed for flute, clarinet, horn, trumpet, percussion, violin, viola and double bass and put the finishing touches to their works during rehearsals with the musicians.
The newly founded sound collective Opus Eins with Katrin Paulitz (flute), Daniel Rothe (clarinet), Harald Heim (horn), Florian Weber (trumpet), Björn Stang (percussion), Alwyn Tomas Westbrooke (violin), Caroline Kersten (viola), Michael Poscharsky (double bass) and Milko Kersten (moderation and direction) will perform the newly created compositions.
The Chemnitz music school ensemble "Streichhölzer" under the direction of Andreas Winkler will perform an overture at the beginning of the concert.
