Woodland maintenance in Schönherrpark and tree felling in the Dresdner Straße/Gießerstraße area
Until the end of February 2018, extensive woodland maintenance measures will be carried out along the property boundary in the Schönherrpark and Salzstraße/Waldleite area.
In particular, the property boundaries will be cleared and shrubs will be professionally pruned to rejuvenate them. Wild growth as well as rubbish and leaves are removed.
Planned tree felling in preparation for the expansion of Gießerstraße
In the Dresdner Straße/Gießerstraße area, trees are expected to be felled by the City of Chemnitz building yard in week 4.
The felling of two plane trees and two lime trees is necessary in preparation for the extension of Gießerstraße in the section between Dresdner Straße and Hainstraße. The four trees cannot be preserved with the extension of Gießerstraße.
The felling is subject to the condition that twelve medium-crowned, high-stemmed deciduous trees (trunk circumference 16 to 18 cm) are replanted by 31 December 2019.
