Women's association hands over book bus to the city library
Invitation to the press event: 20 January, 1 p.m., TIETZ forecourt
Since the beginning of the year, the book bus has once again been part of the City of Chemnitz/City Library and will continue to make stops according to its tried and tested tour schedule. This ensures that a mobile library service can continue to be offered to numerous neighbourhoods, schools and social institutions in the coming years.
The takeover will improve and expand the library service for users in the future. This includes updating the stock, providing advice on the entire range of media offered by the city library and organising educational library events, especially at stops with schools.
For the past 16 years, it has been run by the FACT women's association. The official handover will be used to honour the great commitment of the volunteer staff. To mark the handover, we cordially invite you to a press event in the book bus on Wednesday, 20 January 2016, 13:00, TIETZ forecourt .
The book bus will exceptionally stop in front of the TIETZ on this day.
